NEURODEVELOPMENTAL SPECIALISTS

The Soke Neurodiversity assessments are bespoke: this is because every assessment is carried out with more than one Practitioner, giving it a multidisciplinary approach that incorporates a second or third opinion in every case. All Practitioners in our Neuro team are specialised with extensive experience in the field.

A dedicated member of our Client Services team is allocated to looking after each client, providing support and information through their journey with us. Our assessments follow NICE guidelines, including all the required diagnostic tests and checks throughout the process.

For us, our Stage 1 appointment is the most important, the Practitioner will go through a developmental history and consider all the information brought the appointment, enabling them to advise on next steps. The assessment journey could end there, but the client will be guided by the practitioner as to next steps and other treatment options available to them.

If the Practitioner recommends continuation of the assessment journey, the client will be signposted to the right Stage 2 pathway within The Soke, which could consist of any of the following:

- To be seen by an educational psychologist
- To have a Speech and language assessment
- To complete an ADHD assessment
- To complete an ASC (Autism) assessment
- To complete a dual ADHD/ASC assessment
- To have a specialist eating disorder (ARFID) assessment

The assessment is one part of the client’s journey with us. Once they receive the assessment outcome, the practitioner will meet with them again to discuss next steps and to provide an overview of the treatment options for them and the family/significant others around them. These could include:

Coaching for the individual
Coaching for family members
1:1 therapy options
Couples therapy
Family therapy
Medication for ADHD and/or for other symptoms
