Dr Audrey Ng, Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Audrey Ng is a dual-trained Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult and Old Age Psychiatry, with specialist accreditation in Liaison Psychiatry. She trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and later at Charing Cross and St Mary’s Hospital before taking on leadership roles within the NHS as a consultant.
A strong believer in integrated mental and physical healthcare, Audrey played a key role in establishing the Hounslow Liaison Psychiatry Service, creating structured pathways for emergency and acute hospital care for patients with medical and psychiatric co-morbidities. Shortly after its inception, the service was commended for excellence in patient care. As the former Dementia Lead for Liaison Services at West London NHS Trust, she designed an innovative clinical model that received national recognition, winning 1st place in the Older People’s Mental Health Positive Practice Collaborative National Awards.
Her contributions extend to healthcare efficiency and service development, including the creation of the Frequent Attenders (FA) Model at West Middlesex University Hospital. This initiative enhanced patient outcomes and system efficiency, and was later presented at the Royal College of Psychiatrists to help shape the North West London CQUIN framework across eight London Emergency Departments.
Audrey has expertise in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, and cognitive impairments. As a recognised neurodevelopmental practitioner, she conducts ADHD assessments and provides ongoing personalised care. Her patient-centred approach integrates lifestyle medicine, psychotherapy, and pharmacology, with a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection.
Audrey holds an MA (Distinction) in Psychoanalytic Studies (UEL) and has received several academic accolades, including the Royal College of Psychiatrists Essay Prize. She has contributed to psychoanalytic research, authoring book chapters and articles in psychiatry.
