Dr Audrey Ng, Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Audrey Ng is a consultant psychiatrist at Soke Wimbledon, with over 25 years of clinical practice working in the NHS and private practice. She has dual qualifications in both Adult and Old Age Psychiatry, with an accreditation in Liaison Psychiatry which focuses on the close interplay between mental and physical health issues. Working with adults aged 18 years and above, Audrey works with a wide range of mental health issues including affective disorders such as bipolar and depressive conditions, anxiety disorders including phobias and OCD along with body dysmorphic disorder, PTSD and issues relating to cognitive impairment.

She has specialist expertise in treating mental health conditions related to physical health issues including functional disorders across the age spectrum. Taking a holistic approach, Audrey uses lifestyle medicine to inform her practice alongside therapy and medication, with a strong ethos unifying physical and mental health as a dynamic, interrelated concept and works towards optimising them equitably for better outcomes.

As one of our neurodevelopment practitioners, Audrey also conducts ADHD assessments for adults and provides ongoing treatment and management.

Audrey trained in South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and then progressed to the Charing Cross and St Mary’s Specialist Registrar Rotation. She holds a Master’s degree (Distinction) in Psychoanalytic studies from The Tavistock and Portman Hospital (UEL). Her research in psychoanalytical aspects of dementia and current care provisions have been published along with several book chapters and other publications in the field of psychiatry.

In her practice, Audrey takes a patient-centric and tailored approach to her client’s care. She works to formulate an understanding of what recovery means for her clients in the short and longer term and believes passionately in putting her clients at the heart of this journey.
