As psychotherapist at The Soke in Chelsea, Simon provides consultations and supervision for adults and children directly, as well as for couples and families. Working with children, adolescents and adults, Simon offers systemic psychotherapy interventions to those who have been diagnosed with ADHD and those who are experiencing anorexia, self-harm, trauma, depression, anxiety, and behavioural problems. Working with couples and families, he provides family therapy in situations of high expressed emotion and supports those going through divorce or separation. Simon also helps clients dealing with complex issues including OCD, domestic violence, sexual abuse, suicidal behaviours and psychosis. Throughout his practice, Simon works both in the short and medium term, within a systemic framework, to provide lasting outcomes.
Simon is a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association for Family Therapy and Systemic Practice. After gaining a BA and Diploma in Social Work from Middlesex University London, Simon was awarded a Masters in Systemic Psychotherapy from The Tavistock Centre in London, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in CYP IAPT for children and adolescents from University College London and Kings College London. Most recently, he was awarded an Advanced Diploma with distinction in Systemic Supervision from the Institute of Family Therapy. He is currently Systemic Tutor for The Tavistock Centre Centre and runs independent training for the Family Mediators Association.
When working with his clients, Simon keeps in mind the diverse backgrounds and situations of each individual, recognising their unique needs while preventing them from being stigmatised or disadvantaged. He is able to deal with stressful situations sensitively, reinstating a sense of calm while reflecting on the meaning and context of those difficulties with his clients. Simon works holistically, consulting with colleagues to provide wrap-around care for his clients.
