Kathryn Dombrowicz, Clinical Psychotherapist
Member of The Soke’s Clinical Board

An accredited clinical psychotherapist, Kathryn works with adults and older adolescents. She has extensive experience working across a range of psychological conditions and has, over many years, developed a special interest in treating eating disorders, addiction, compulsive behaviour, relationship challenges and traumatic stress (including PTSD). Kathryn has worked in public and private healthcare services and has led specialist clinics/services which treat addiction, eating disorders, trauma, sexual health and chronic medical conditions, as well as terminal illness and grief.

Kathryn’s approach is integrative, which means she has expertise in a range of therapeutic modalities including contemporary psychotherapy, EMDR, internal family systems, hypno-psychotherapy and brief solution focus therapies. She encourages an open, curious approach to the therapeutic work, recognising those internal conflicts that can, at times, feel intractable but which can be resolved using a supportive systemic approach.

Kathryn had a professional background in the commercial sector in Ireland, Germany and UK before she retrained in psychotherapy and, therefore, she understands the specific demands of this environment.

She provides individual therapy and group psychotherapy, as well as educational workshops
